Since the auto repair invoice template is created from the default invoice template included ininstaller program, it is interesting to compare what are the differences between the two invoice templates.
First, on the invoice header part, all the cells/fields in the "Ship To" section are moved out of the print area, including ship name, address, city state and zip, and contact, shipping date etc. There also a number of new fields added to the invoice form, including "Time in", indicating when the job started (or the customer brings his/her car, trucks, bus or camper in.); insurance information, including insurance company name and claim#; car details, including "Year", "Make", "Model", "Color" etc.
The invoice body part is similar to the default invoice template, where you can list parts used, or service performed.
The auto repair invoice template also includes a version that works with. Here is a screen shot of the version of the auto repair invoice template.
After downloading the invoice template, you should at least add your own company name (and logo image) before you can use it. To unprotectworksheet, in Excel 2000 - 2003 click menu -> -> ; in Excel 2007/2010 click the button in the group of the tab. You can then enter your company details.
Replacing the default logo image is a bit complex than entering your company information. Firstly, you need to switch to design mode, and then open theform of the image object, browse to and choose your own logo image. You can find detailed tutorial on this on the free invoice template page.
There is no one-size fits all. For example, your business may be in favor of a different color schema - and you want to make your invoices use your favorite colors to. Fortunately it is easy to do with the handy tools provided by Microsoft Excel.
